Objectives:

  1. To introduce students to the common principles of organization and basic elements that the visual arts use to arouse the senses and the intellect.
  2. To encourage students to look and see, think about, mentally imagine, and produce pieces of art.
  3. To discuss the elements of' art (line, color, texture, shape, and value).
  4. To discuss the principles of design/organization (harmony, variety, movement, space, and balance) to produce order and the elements of art.

Description:
Studio, the set is still in the attic of the host, and on-location segments introduce the students to many different items that can be used to create art for display and play. The series emphasizes activities that use material readily available to the art teacher in school and to the student at home. In addition to the "how to" programs, the series introduces and explains the five elements of visual art - line, shape, texture, value, and color.
