The three to eight-minute programs feature well-known figures such as Mark Twain and Wyatt Earp, as well as familiar legends. Vignettes include James Marshall, who started the Gold Rush of 1848; Chinese workers who labored to complete the Central Pacific Railroad; Nellie Cashman, reportedly the first white woman to enter Alaska; and the Golden Spike ceremony marking the completion of the transcontinental railroad.
