Constancia is a migrant worker living with her brother and his family during the harvest season. She is attending night school with the hope of going to college and getting out of the crop picking rat-race. Constancia's attention to the son of the farmer causes big problems with, her brother and other relatives. She is ready to quit school.and give up her ambitions when her brother intervenes.
