Objectives:

  1. To help students gain an appreciation of art and its role throughout history.
  2. To Challenge students to use their creativity in a wide variety of art

Each program includes an introduction to a topic with an historical overview of art related to the theme and focuses on the contributions of a famous artist with background information about his/her life and times. The viewer is then taken inside the classroom to see students using a variety of art techniques to meet the challenges presented by a particular topic. A summary concludes the program and proposes a number of thought provoking questions which way be explored further by the students and their instructor.

Everything in Art programs provides an added dimension to the middle, and high school art classes. The visual stimulation through visits to museums, art studios and other related sites, encourages students to use their, imaginations and to undertake new approaches to their classwork.
