1 Nineteen Minute Program

For: All employees who are involved in lifting, carrying, and moving heavy.objects

Objectives:

  1. To identify the most common instances of low back pain sustained in an occupational setting and analyze the mechanics involved.
  2. To develop an awareness among employees of proper body mechanics and of risk situations involved.

This program examines the mechanics of back motion and covers risk situations which have back injury potential. Emphasis is placed on the elements of healthy posture and how to lift properly in order to prevent low back injury.
