| Magic Carpet 13 Fifteen Minute Programs Pre and post program activities include drama, music, and art. This series brings Folk Tales from around the world into the classroom. Long before reading and writing were introduced; some of these stories and tales were being told and retold, handed down from generation to generation precious heirlooms which contain the wit and wisdom of early cultures. Other stories have more recent origins, being American Legends or Tales based on historical fact. All the stories are intended to motivate a desire to read among children in primary grades.
