Curriculum: Mathematics

Objectives:

1. To introduce, reinforce, and review concepts and skills that have been identified by standardized testing and teacher input as concepts that require additional concentration.
2. To serve as remedial and/or review material for pupils working below grade level.

Math Lab VIII is a continuum of continuous progress elementary/middle school mathematics modules appropriate for instructional levels 4-8,and is an additional resource in the instruction of mathematics topics which have been identified by workshop teams as deficient areas of achievement as evidenced by both teacher feedback and standardized test results. Each lesson takes the viewer outside the classroom to consider a theme and to emphasize the application of mathematics to everyday life. The teacher guide, in addition to the usual features lesson objectives, lesson summary, pre and post-activities also contains a student worksheet for each lesson.
