1 Thirty-Minute Program
Grade(s):  Adult
Curriculum"  Professional Development, Technology

THE MILLENNIUM BUG'S DEADLIEST SECRET previews and summarizes the Y2K problem by discussing many examples of things that could go wrong and be a problem area when the year 2000 starts. The program highlights one of the potential problems often overlooked in Y2K discussions - that of the embedded chip problem. The program deals with the fact that many everyday items, not normally thought of as computers or as being related, to the Y2K problem, have chips, with calendars and clocks, embedded in them. The bottom line is that these may be the items that cause the most problems when 2000 rolls around.
