4 Fifteen Minute Programs

This series of tapes is designed to introduce basic examples of the 4 main topics listed below and to explain how these titles can be used to benefit the student’s lives.

As an example; the tapes show all 3 states of matter and how we use them to extract minerals from ore. The series also shows how the discovery of gold affected the development of a particular region.

Program Titles:

  1. Simple Machines
    Program introduces and explains the six simple machines (levers, wheel and axle, pulley, inclined plane, screw, and wedge) and illustrates how machines make-work easier for us.
  2. Matter
    Program introduces and discusses the various characteristics of the three states of matter - solids, liquids, and gases.
  3. Geology
    Program discusses the formation, characteristics, and weathering of the three basic types of rocks sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic.
  4. History
    Program discusses how the search for minerals can affect the history of a region and uses the search for Gold and Silver in Nevada as an example.
